Evidence #1:
St. Pattys Day Game
This is a game we used in my Kindergarten Classroom this year. The children were given dice and had to roll a number. Then they counted up and placed their piece on whichever letter it landed on. For example, if I rolled a 3 then I would start at the bottom and count up until "c" and place my piece on "C". I would repeat this again for the pot of gold and the last set of constants. Then I would pick up each of my pieces and write the letter beneath it on my paper and then choose if it made a real word or not.. So if I had a c, o, and g I would write "cog" on my paper and then say that it is not a real word.
Evidence #2: Word Work Packet
This free download of word work has so many great activities for helping children build words, recognize site words, and letters. These are games so children can play the with each other or on their own. I downloaded this and saved it and look forward to using it in my future classroom. My favorite one from this packet is called "Letter Grab Bag" and it is a spin off of your normal scrabble game.
