Shared Reading

Shared reading is reading as a class. The same book will be used for multiple days and teacher will teach a lesson on the second or third day from the book. It is important to have children support each other in reading and work together during reading.

Evidence #1(Multi-Cultural)

Reading Program

This is a cool program where children have a passport and we read books from all around the world. These can me done as either a read aloud or a shared reading. I think it would be a very good shared reading, because then we would have a really in-depth conversation since we are talking about it for more than one day.

Evidence #2 (Technology)

Shared Reading

This is my lesson plan from my shared reading experience. I used the Elmo arm so that all the children could see the poem we were working with rather than me just reading it to them. They participated actively and enjoyed the lesson.
